Lore: Without a truly proper physical depiction, Arc-hion was drawn as a single unfocused eye, that always seems to follow one no matter which way they looked at it from. Many of his faithful, although they could not see him, claimed to hear him in their mind almost constantly, instructing them on the mysteries of the world and what lies beyond. The Cult of Arc-hion was often seen as harmless, as their members were never instructed to engage in any sort of holy war at any point in history that can be found. Still, many found them unsettling to be around.
Arc-Hion was also the name given to a particularly bright star seen by Diaolite astronomers upon the Isle of Arroway, though the star disappeared from all reported sightings and charts outright nearing the end of the Zodiac Age. This mystery, and the loss of seeing it’s beauty, led to many dubbing the event as ‘The Disappearance of the Mourning Star’.
A general period of malaise fell over all of Diaolia during these decades, their shattered continent only truly forming back together during the dawn of the Post-Conflict Era. This has led many to believe that Arc-Hion was a sort of ‘Guardian’ force, protecting the people of the south from experiencing too much sorrow. Many families still give prayers to the Droning Echo in secret, hoping for it to return and usher in a new Age of contentment.
